LADYHAWKE
There is something about it. Watched again after many years last night. It has an unfinished, almost half-baked feel to it, and the cheesy 80s soundtrack is awful. But the premise is irresistibly romantic, if not profound, the story works most of the time, and the actors… Matthew Broderick was a fine sidekick and a man who can die happy, having danced with one of the most beautiful and graceful women of all time, Michelle Pfeiffer. And Rutger Hauer was and still remains one of the finest and most underutilized actors of our time.

It’s the strangest thing: I never get to watch Cat on a Hot Tin Roof somehow – one of these days I will. Cool Hand Luke is an all time classic – Newman was a class act anyway.

I like the film.
Although, yes, it could be better.

BTW, I finally did manage to watch Cat some time ago – it is very good. Newman is sorely missed.
Paul, did you like Blade Runner?
